Beginning January 16, Challenger will begin enrolling students for the 2024-2025 school year.
You can look up your student's residential address at using the district's School Finder website to determine the neighborhood school.
Local Feeder Elementary Students - If your student is currently enrolled at one of our local feeder schools for Challenger which are Hickman, Jonas Salk, or Sandburg, most students will automatically be registered. In some cases such as you moved out of the neighborhood mid-year or are using a Affidavit of Childcare, your student might have to complete a Choice application and wait to see if he/her name appears on the waitlist. Students Residing in the Neighborhood - If your student resides within the Challenger boundaries and does not attend one of Challenger's feeder schools (Hickman, Jonas Salk, Sandburg), parents will need to complete registration for Challenger. Please go to the registration webpage for requirements. Enrollment is ongoing.
Choice Waitlist - Once the district releases the waitlist to schools, Challenger will contact parents of the students whose names appear on the list. Parents must complete the registration paperwork by deadline given to ensure your student is enrolled. If registration paperwork is not completed by the deadline, your student's name will be removed from the waitlist and the opening will be offered to the next student on the list. Enrollment form the Choice waitlist is ongoing up to the first day of school in order to fill designated openings.
