Instructions For When a Student Must Leave Early

Instructions For When a Student Must Leave Early
Attend today, Achieve tomorrow

It is important for students to attend classroom instruction in school every day.  Please try to not schedule appointments during the school day.

If a student must leave, the parent/guardian must send a note with the child to the attendance office before school starts.  The student will receive a pass at that time.  At the designated time, the student will show the pass to the teacher and go to the attendance office.  This preferred method minimizes interruptions and distractions for other students.

The note must include the student's name, the time of pick-up, the date of pick-up, the name of the person picking up the student, and the signature of parent/guardian.  Only people listed as contacts in PowerSchool will be allowed to pick-up students.  Parents can edit contact information in PowerSchool with a parent account.

If you do not notify the attendance office early with a note, there will be delays retrieving a student, especially if the student is in PE class, taking a test, or at lunch.  So that we don't interrupt instruction, you may have to wait until the next passing period when we can reach the classroom.

We will not release students to walk home or ride their bicycle home.

When coming to the office to pick up your student, parents/guardians must bring a form of photo identification when picking up a student from school.
