Orientation for new students is on Friday, August 9 and is open to new students and their families. Gates open at 9:00 AM and close at 10:30 AM
Parent Presentation: 9:15-9:35 AM, Auditorium - Meet administration and learn about the upcoming school year. Parents are not required to attend the orientation. The presentation slides will be posted online toward the end of the day on August 9.
ASB Student Tours: 9:00-10:15 AM, Shuttle Court - Small group tours led by our student leaders for those who want additional guidance.
The Launch Pad: The PTO student store will be open to sell school supplies and welcome new volunteers.
Class Schedules: In the evening of August 8, an email will be sent to parents through the Digital Document System. It will include the student's class schedule. Starting August 9, class schedules will be visible on PowerSchool's parent/student portal. If you need to create a parent account, please contact Challenger's site tech, Danielle Kirkendall at [email protected].
Final Class Schedules: Some classes may still be adjusted after orientation. Final class schedules will be distributed to students on the first day of school, August 12. Students must look at the posted lists to find their first room.
PE Uniforms/Clothing: PE items and locks will NOT be sold during orientation. PE items can be purchased online at the SchoolCash website. Incoming student names for the 24-25 school year will be uploaded by the district sometime after July 1. Please print your receipt. Your student will need to bring a printed receipt to school starting the first day of school, August 12, to pick up purchased items from their PE teacher. If you are unable to print paper receipt or have questions about the School Cash website, please contact Challenger's finance clerk, Lucy Alonzo.
