Use That Planner English
Middle school is a time to establish good study habits in preparation for high school. Students at Challenger have been given a daily planner as a tool to stay organized. Every box for each day should be written in by the student stating the homework assignment or what they accomplished in class that day. Parents are asked to sign the planner each week, and advisory teachers will regularyly check to see if the planner has been signed.
How One Missing Assignment Affect Your Grade English
We encourage students to turn in all their assignments, even when they aren't complete. A zero on an assignment is not the same as an F grade. If a student turns in an assignment, they could still earn points that are used when averaging a grade. This flyer show what happens when one assignement isn't turned in.
After School Help
Encourage your student to stay after school for help. Teachers are available, but their schedules vary due to parent meetings and professional development. Please contact the teacher to make arrangements for your student to stay after school. The math teachers will assist any student - not just their own students.
School Library
Challenger's library is open to students for studying, reading, and research. There are computers available for student use. Students are allowed in the library without a pass before school, during lunch, and after school. Hours are 7:00AM-3:00PM.
