Get a low cost sports exam for your student if they are planning on participating in high school sports. The exam takes place at Mira Mesa High School on June 14. It's limited to students who currently attend a San Diego Unified school and are in grades 8-11. For more details, including check-in times, required forms, and attire, please review this flyer. Payment is $10 cash only. Expect long lines and wait times.

2024-2026 CIFSDS Master Calendar
1. Athletic Clearance process opens June 9 for the 2025-26 school year. If parents try to do it now, they will not be able to find Mira Mesa on the website. Please wait until June 9.
2. All Physicals must be done on or after June 9 in order to be valid for the 2025-26 school year.
3. Mira Mesa High School (MMHS) has been chosen as the site for the District Wide Physical Day which will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 8am-12noon. THE COST IS $10 CASH.
The Mira Mesa High School Athletic Director, Ron Lardizabal, highly suggests ALL OF OUR ATHLETES should get their physicals done on this day, whether they play a Fall sport, Winter Sport, or Spring Sport. It's inexpensive relative to insurance deductibles and then families won't have to worry about getting a physical done come July, November or February.
4. There was a lot of confusion with Athletic Clearance last year. Please follow the steps in the Athletic Clearance process. The school is not automatically notified when the signed confirmation page is uploaded. Families must email the MMHS athletic director that the online process has been completed. The athletic director will then be able to check and clear the athlete.
5. Families should be aware that a key member of the support staff is retiring and the Mira Mesa High campus will be closed for construction for most of the summer. The easiest way to get cleared for the Fall Season will be during the June 14 pre-participation sports exam event.
