Have you noticed that your student seems to use more descriptive verbiage lately? It could be due to the fact Challenger students have been prepping for their upcoming classroom spelling bees. The English teachers have coordinated a time when all of them will be conducting spelling bees to determine the first and second place winners for each English period. These bees not only include spelling, but also learning more about the word to include definitions.
The classroom representatives will receive additional information and study lists before the winter break. At the beginning of February, a school spelling bee will be held for this classroom winners to determine who will be the school representative at the San Diego County Spelling Bee in March.
