Challenger Memorial Program

Challenger families are invited to our annual memorial for the crew lost during the space shuttle Challenger accident which took place on January 28, 1986. One of the seven members of the crew was Christa McAuliffe, the First Teacher in Space.
Our bell schedule will be a little different and advisory will be moved to the end of the day to accommodate the ceremony on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. There will be student speakers, poetry, music, and song along with a presentation by the Mira Mesa High School Army Junior ROTC students.
The ceremony begins in the Shuttle Court at 2:30 PM and ends at 3:05 PM. Please sign in at the office if would like to attend.
