California State testing begins April 30 at Challenger. It is very important that every student take the yearly assessments known as the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). To assess their progress, students will take one or more of the following tests: Smarter Balanced assessments (SBAC), California Science Test (CAST), California Alternate Assessments (CAA). This website has resources for parents and guardians to explain the assessments, view sample questions, and help prepare their child for the tests.
Testing will be conducted in the morning on the following days: Detailed 1-page Testing Calendar
- English - April 30-May 2
- Math - May 7-9
- 8th Gr Science - May 14-16
Students who miss testing times may be removed from other classes to make up the tests that they missed.
