Summer Program

Winter, spring… summer will be here before you know it!  Start planning now for your San Diego Unified Summer Experience. Academic and enrichment programs and day camps, including summer school, PrimeTime and Level Up, are available to current district students at no cost.

Enrollment for students in grades UTK-8 who meet Priority 1* criteria begins Monday, Jan. 29 for summer academics and PrimeTime programs and Monday, April 8 for Level Up enrichment programs.  Enrollment for students in grades UTK-8 who do not meet at least one of the Priority 1 criteria begins May 13 on a first-come, first-served basis for all summer programs. 

Check the Extended Learning Opportunities website for more details about the summer programs and to learn how to access enrollment forms.  If you have difficulty accessing the online forms, please stop by the office to pick up a paper application.

*Priority registration is provided to students who meet at least one of the following criteria established by the California Department of Education Expanded Learning Opportunities Program and the district: multilingual (English language learner); or, free or reduced-price meal eligibility; or, homeless/foster youth; or, students with disabilities (IEP or 504); or, siblings of students with the above criteria at the same school.

Challenger Middle School will be a summer school site this year.

Dates: June 12 - July 12 (Closed June 19, July 4 and July 5)
