On Friday, June 10, 2022, all 8th graders who returned a field trip permission slip will spend the day exploring the San Diego Safari Park from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Students are expected to attend a full day of school starting at 7:15 AM and will arrive back at school about 2:40 PM. Transportation to and from the Safari Park and school will be provided. Sack lunches will be supplied by the SDUSD Food and Nutrition Department. Students may bring their own lunch if they choose. We ask that students do not bring many items to school that day. We recommend students have a bottle of water, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light sweater or jacket.

Dress Code: Students should follow the Challenger Dress Code. Sunglasses will be allowed for this event. Students will be walking a lot that day and should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
