
We will host a promotion ceremony on the morning of Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 9:00-10:00 AM in the Shuttle Court at Challenger Middle School, 10810 Parkdale Avenue. Families will be allowed on campus at 8:30 AM. Outside seating (no cover) will be provided for the ceremony.

Time: Gates open for seating at 8:30 AM

Parking: The staff parking lot will be open for visitors. Please help us be a good neighbor and do not park in front of driveways.
Airhorns: Airhorns are not allowed.
Balloons, Umbrellas, & Other Items Obstructing Viewing: Visitors with items that obstruct viewing of the promotion ceremony will be asked to move or remove item. Balloons must be tied in the designated area and can be retrieved after the ceremony.
Dress Code: Students should dress nicely, but not formally. The school’s dress code will be enforced. Students who do not meet the dress code on promotion ceremony day will be asked to change clothes or will not be allowed to participate.
Students Carrying Items: Please have your child carry no extra possessions on that day.
No Limousines: We also request no limousines on promotion day.
Attendance: Students must be on time to school.
6th or 7th Grade Siblings: If you would like a 6th or 7th grade brother or sister to attend the ceremony or leave school early, please return the Sibling Early Release Form or contact the Challenger attendance office before Friday June 10, 2022.

Early Release: Early release slips will be sent home with 8th graders at the end of May. Any student who leaves without a completed and signed early release slip on file will be consider truant.

Indebtedness: Please make sure all indebtedness is cleared before 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. This includes library books, textbooks, overdue fines, damage fines, and insufficient checks. If the student is experiencing financial difficulties, please contact your student’s counselor for assistance.
